Our website opseulocal542.org is now live!! Big thanks to Vice President Philip Vaccarello for all his hard work getting this together.
Over the next few months, we’ll be adding to the website useful resources for members that will help them navigate workplace issues. Thing’s like who is your LERC and JHSC chairs, who are your stewards, who are the committee members, guidelines about accommodations, topics about grievances. A calendar of events. It will all happen in time.
Think of this space like a digital union board.
We’ll also be keeping a record of our financial obligations to members here. You can find our latest TARs, our current financial updates, and our officer reports that are shared at the general membership meetings here as well. It is our duty to be accountable to you for every dollar spent, every hour of book-off used, all of that will be posted here for members to see. The days of financial mismanagement in our local are now a thing of the past.
Lastly, instead of local wide emails that often get lost in spam folders, local news will be posted here. You’ll still get the odd email about a meeting or local wide event, but regular updates, announcements, dates of significance, will be posted here instead.
